The ENDGAME PROJECT

For the End Game Project I have decided to look at shutter speeds, looking at both fast shutter speeds and slow shutter speeds. Whilst looking at fast shutter speed I will be looking at artists such as Harold Edgerton and for slow shutter speed I will be looking at artists such as Gjon Mili and Hiroshi Sugamoto. Also when looking at these artists I will be trying to recreate images and experiment with the ways they captured their photos

photoshoot 1

For my first photo-shoot I focused primarily on fast shutter speed. Trying to capture moments we would not normally see just watching with our eyes. I then edited and developed the photo i thought looked best. most of them in black and white so that people focus on the image itself rather than the colours with in it.

For my second photo-shoot I decided to experiment with slow shutter speed. To try and capture the every movement of one technique in a single picture. When editing my photos I used both colour and black & white in an attempt to highlight different part of the photo.

Development

1

After looking at Eadweard Muybridge I used fast shutter speed to capture static photos with separate movements and documented them in the same style as Muybridge. I first tried this out with the same short sequence and put the best two together to create a flow, I then did the same thing but with a different sequence.

For my third attempt at this development idea, I used a longer sequence to see if it changed the effect of the layout. So once again I took some fast shutter speed photos and placed them into a grid like format.
