Final Piece

For my final piece I decided to revisit the close ups I did when looking a Genevieve Cardieux , in particular how i could go further with this particular section of my project.

Photoshoot 5

II first decided to take another close up shoot this time ensuring I take I wider range of photographs

Development 1

For Development I again decided to look at folding. I first selected a handful of my images and printed them  onto paper to fold before scanning them back in.

STEP 1

Step 2

STEP 2 - I first printed a selection of the edited images on two different mediums. One was tracing paper the other was acetate. After printing I folded them like i did with the paper and scanned them back into the computer to edit.

TRACING PAPER

ACETATE

For the acetate images I first inverted the images before I printed them in order to produce a digital negative., when printed on the acetate, which was then folded and scanned back in.

Step 3

STEP 3 - For the next step in my development i took both the tracing paper and acetate folded pieces into the darkroom to develop them.

TRACING PAPER

The tracing paper is only semi-transparent which means only some light will pass through resulting in the distortion of the prints.

ACETATE

For the acetate although completely transparent because of the folding patches of white appear in the print, This contrasts well against the normal part of the prints that

Final Piece

For my final piece i decided to present a small selection of my photos in box frames. I also would of used the physical folded acetates and pin them to the wall, however for the digital version i scanned them in as images to use as a visual representation of the folded pieces.
